Lucy Dillon
BHSII, BHS Intermediate Stablemanager, First Aid, CPC

Lucy Dillon has been teaching riding for nearly 20 years. She has her British Horse Society Intermediate Stablemanagers Certificate and has enjoyed competing her own horses at eventing and dressage over the years.

Lucy has previously worked with event horses, stud work and teaching young riders for competition, while training with some top instructors both in Ireland and the UK.

Kevin Rennicks

Kevin Rennicks began riding at the Centre as a child and gained many years experience before returning to train for his BHS exams with us. He is a  BHS AI qualified instructor.

Kevin particularly enjoys teaching the children and beginner riders.

In addition, Bachelors Lodge employ free-lance instructors who again are all BHS qualified and hold CPC and up to date First Aid training.


Tuition for all levels ranging from forest walks for the little ones, children and adult beginner riding lessons, to the experienced rider wishing to develop their skills are all catered for in a friendly and relaxed environment. To ensure each rider is given individual attention, your ability is assessed by one of our BHS qualified instructors and a tuition programme is then customised to suit your individual requirements. Bachelors Lodge hosts a selection of seasoned schoolmasters so if it’s a pony for a child just starting out to an already experienced rider looking to hone their expertise, we have the perfect horse for you

Expert tuition is provided enabling you to take full advantage of the facilities while meeting similar minded people how also share a genuine love of horses. We will provide and fit your safety head gear, so you will not need any specialist equipment or clothing. However, it is very important to be suitably dressed for the weather, wearing long trousers, a long sleeved top and flat footwear with a small heel.
